PhD Program in the Social Sciences -- 15 Doctoral Fellowships

The Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences (CDSS) invites students of all fields of study in political science, psychology and sociology to apply for doctoral fellowships at the University of
Mannheim's Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS).

The CDSS provides an English-taught Ph.D. program preparing students for challenging academic and professional careers. The Graduate School's special emphasis is on empirical and quantitative methods. Students profit from and take part in a vibrant research community created by the interactions of the School of Social Sciences, the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), the Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences (GESIS), the Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of
Aging (MEA), the Central Institute of Mental Health (ZI) and the Collaborative Research Centre 884 (The Political Economy of Reform).

The 2011 program starts in September; deadline for application is April 15, 2011.
