Would you like to study the links between Peace and Development on an innovative and energetic MA?
We are still accepting applications to the MA Peace and Development at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK starting September 2014.
Study an integrated MA in which you will critically evaluate how states, the UN, NGOs and civil society work through an international system to address global challenges of poverty, violence, inequality and environmental destruction.
Over the course you will focus on the weaving together of theory and practice which help us understand the causes of poverty and violence, how national and international systems deal with violence and poverty, and what methods are brought together to build peace and improve livelihoods.
The international group of students on the MA are typically involved in NGO's, Government, military, research and policy work. The course involves a practical element by including case studies and guest lectures throughout the modules, but includes a core module on project and programme management with tools used by international agencies and funders.
The MA taught curriculum are supported by guest lectures, expert panels, trips and student forums which bring new research, issues and debates with all the students and PhD researchers.
In November 2014 you will be able to join in the activities and events during the PAGe Festival.
