Frank Biermann is visiting professor of Earth System Governance at Lund University, and professor of Political Science and Environmental Policy Sciences at the VU University Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is also chair of the Earth System Governance Project, a global research alliance of numerous faculty, fellows, and partner institutions around the world.

He will give two presentations:
- Earth System Governance: World Politics in the Anthropocene
- A World Environment Organisation: Promise or Peril?
